The most sensitive and flexible medium throughput MEA system for both acute and cultured applications.

Highly-sophisticated, user friendly, and hands-on software

The MED64 Mobius is the data acquisition and analysis software for the all MED64 Systems. It is designed to be easy for beginners and powerful enough for advanced users. Mobius is module-based software and comes in various application-specific packages including “Evoked Potential Measurement”, “Spike Sorter”, “QT” as well as combined packages for multi-application users.

It features broad set of analysis tools including spike frequency and waveform analysis. All analyses are performed at all acquisition channels both during acquisition as well as post acquisition. Raw data and analysis results can be exported for analysis with another software.

Paired Pulse Analysis

[Left] extracted evoked signal. [Right] The top charts (red) show the time course of measured minimum amplitude for the first (left) and second (right) pulse . The bottom charts (blue) show the paired pulse ratio for the Amplitude Minimum. The left chart shows the percent change in the first pulse compared to the second pulse while the right chart shows the percent in the second pulse compared to the first pulse.

  • Extractions of spikes exceeding user-defined thresholds.
  • Set thresholds by either:
    • moving bars at the all channels (or single channel) display
    • typing numbers in the chart
    • a percentage of the standard deviation of baseline noise level
  • Spike sorting based on waveform similarities.
  • Spike frequency analysis at all channels and build of their cumulative plots.
  • Easy-to-set acquisition parameters.
  • Export raw data by binary or ASCII text file (csv).
  • Export:
    • extracted spikes waveforms,
    • time stamps for extracted spikes,
    • spike frequency chart as ASCII text file (csv).

Spike extractions

Spike sorting and spike frequency analysis

  • Extractions of myocardial signals exceeding user-defined thresholds.
  • Beat frequency analysis (with computation and graphs).
  • Inter-spike-intervals analysis (with computation and graphs).
  • A various sets of waveform analysis (Amplitude, slope, duration, etc) for extracted signals and cumulative plots for the analysis.
  • Field Potential Duration analysis via several different methods.

Mobius Offline Toolkit is an analysis package for data collected with MED64 Mobius. The software allows
MED64 users to quickly perform neuronal burst activity and Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) analysis for data
recorded with Mobius. The software package is available for MED64 users who purchased following Mobius

  • Spike Sorter
  • Spike Sorter with Stim.
  • Pro
  • Extended

Synchronized Burst Analysis

  • Display neuronal spikes with Raster Plots.
  • Detect array-wide spiking as a “Synchronized burst”.
  • Extract detailed information from synchronized bursts, such as burst duration, intervals, onset time and number of spikes in a burst.
  • Read “Time Stamp” data recorded and exported with Mobius.
  • Export all analysis results to .csv files.
Synchronized burst analysis. Raster plot for spike timestamps are displayed on the top-right. Synchronized bursts are displayed in the black bars (red arrow in the middle of the Raster plot chart) and their information is provided in the charts (bottom).

Single Channel Burst Analysis

  • Detect a set of high-frequency spikes in a channel as a “Burst” and perform several different analyses.
  • Spike Time Stamp data and detected bursts are displayed.
  • Extract burst information such as duration, interval, onset time, number of bursts, number of spikes per burst.
  • Read “Time Stamp” data recorded and exported with Mobius
  • Export all analysis results to .csv
Single burst analysis. Time course of spike time stamps are displayed (top). Red shows “busts” extracted. The information for the “bursts” are displayed graphically (middle) and as a table (bottom).

FFT (Fast Fourier Transfer) Analysis

  • Perform a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) of raw data recorded by Mobius software.
  • Transforms a complex voltage signal in the time domain into the component sine waves that compose the raw signal in the frequency domain.
  • Generates Power Spectrum Density (PSD) and Spectrogram charts.
  • Export all analysis results to .csv files.
