The SCREEN Cell3iMager Duos (Duos) is a robust, bench-top, high-throughput imaging system. It enables both bright-field and multi-channel fluorescence imaging and analysis of a wide range of cell types grown in both 2D and 3D cultures. With its unique hypercentric and telecentric optical system which comprises a 4.2 megapixel area sensor and LED- strobing light system, duos enables whole-well imaging (including single cells at the well peripheral areas without any interference from meniscus), at high resolutions such as 0.8μm and 4μm.
The companion 2D & 3D optimized intuitive software allows faster image capture, measurement and data analysis, and is compatible with all major 2D & 3D cell culture platforms.

Cell3iMager duos has fluorescence imaging capability. Upto 5 channels are available.
It is also possible to merge fluorescence images with bright-field images. The fluorescence intensity and its area can be quantified. The Color camera can detect two or more different emitted lights and quantify its intensity at once.
The SCREEN Cell3iMager Duos is a robust, high-throughput scanner for the label free profiling of 2D and 3D cellular growth and morphology. This bench-top imager is capable of high-throughput, whole-well imaging at high-resolutions and facilitates analysis of your cell culture by fast, parallel scanning in both bright-field and fluorescence. It is compatible with all major culture wares and it can be used for both 2D and 3D cellular imaging. Duos proprietary optical system with a probing light source facilitates rapid imaging of all cells in all wells – just 90 seconds for a 384-well plate, at high-resolutions of 0.8 and 4 UM without edge effects.
Samples are loaded onto an immovable diffusion glass stage. During scanning only the optical system below and the LED-light source above this stage moves. The label-free imaging allows qualitative and quantitative measurement of cellular size and morphology changes, non-invasively. Duos multi-channel fluorescence imaging mode permits multiplexed assays. The system can acquire multi-fluorescence images and quantify the intensity of each color efficiently based on which cells can be identified.
A powerful, intuitive software allows for faster image capture, measurement, and data analysis. It reports key growth and morphological parameters, including live and dead cell count, diameter, area, and circularity of spheroids, etc.
An automatic cell morphological classification option provides ‘intelligent’ classification of objects, using logic derived from a user-defined reference set of respective objects.
Growth curves and histograms are generated and can be copy/pasted directly, or raw data can be exported as CSV files for import into statistical and graphing software.

Powerful image processing and analysis software
The companion analysis software of duos allows faster image capture, measurement and data analysis, and is compatible with all major cell culture platforms. The powerful automated measurement and analysis software eliminates cumbersome manual morphological measurements and improves data reproducibility. The software reports key cellular growth and morphological parameters overtime such as:

∙ Spheroid / organoid area, diameter, circularity, optical density and pseudo volume

Duos provide a unique focus bracketing option (similar to ‘Z’ stacking) which enables high quality analysis of spheroids in hanging droplet assays or embedded in hydrogel systems, which otherwise can’t be adequately captured.
Focus bracketing acquires images over multiple focal planes/slices to provide a multi layered image. With duos, up to 50 slices can be obtained to capture all important details of the spheroids or organoids. Duos composite function offer great flexibility to combine/quantify mass of cells spread in the ‘Z’-direction into a single information loaded image.
